Trump Rejects Iran’s Hormuz Proposal, Seeks Stronger Concessions From Tehran

President Donald Trump has rejected Iran’s proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days, signaling that Washington wants broader concessions from Tehran before easing pressure on Iran.

The Iranian proposal reportedly offered a phased reopening of the strategic waterway in exchange for an end to the U.S. blockade, relief from oil-related sanctions and renewed negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program.
