MORE THAN 250 RUSSIAN SOLDIERS CAPTURED DURING OPERATION VIVALDI

Behold the results of Ukrainian courage, preparation and perseverance.

More than 250 Russian servicemen were captured during Operation Vivaldi on the Lyman front, according to Brigadier General Andrii Biletskyi, commander of Ukraine’s Third Army Corps. Released footage shows a large group of prisoners gathered under Ukrainian guard after being taken alive.

Biletskyi also reported approximately 2,000 Russian personnel losses during the operation. Ukrainian forces have continued advancing, liberating settlements and dismantling the Russian salient north of Lyman.

The scale of these captures suggests serious problems inside the Russian force. Faced with organized Ukrainian pressure, disrupted logistics and the prospect of being killed, hundreds reportedly chose captivity instead of continuing to fight for Putin’s invasion.

Every captured soldier also represents potential battlefield intelligence and another prisoner who may eventually be exchanged for a Ukrainian held in Russia.

These are the fruits of Ukrainian labor: territory reclaimed, Russian formations weakened and hundreds of enemy soldiers removed from the battlefield.
