Speaking at Mulele Secondary School Grounds during a community engagement, President Hichilema also announced government plans to construct a fully-fledged Sioma District Hospital, saying the facility will reduce referrals.
President Hichilema also said the government remains committed to completing Kanji Veterinary College to help contain livestock diseases.
He added that once animal diseases are controlled in Sioma, residents will fully benefit from livestock rearing.
President Hichilema also reassured unemployed teachers and nurses that they should not worry, announcing that volunteer nurses and teachers who attended the meeting will be employed next month.
He further revealed that the number of beneficiaries under the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP) in the district will also be increased.
