The Civil Servants and Allied Workers Union of Zambia (CSAWUZ) has congratulated President Hakainde Hichilema on his re-election following the just-ended general election.

CSAWUZ General Secretary Teddy Muyenga says President Hichilema’s re-election is a significant demonstration of the confidence and trust that the Zambian people have in his leadership and vision for the continued development of the country.

Mr Muyenga said the Union remains confident that the president-elect will continue providing leadership that will promote national development and improve the lives of Zambians.

He has also commended Zambians for peacefully exercising their democratic right during the general election.

He said the conduct of citizens during the electoral process demonstrates their continued commitment to peace, democracy and good governance.

The CSAWUZ General Secretary has since wished President Hichilema wisdom, strength and good health as he continues leading the country.

Mr Muyenga further wished the President God’s guidance in his continued service to the nation.
