Vice President, Mutale Nalumango, has called on the people of Senga Hill District to vote for the United Party for National Development (UPND) in the August 13 2026 General Elections.

Speaking when she addressed hundreds of people at Mambwe Primary School Ms Nalumango, assured that voting for UPND will ensure continued development in the area.

Mrs Nalumango said Senga Hill District has recorded significant development since the UPND assumed office.

She added that more progress can only be achieved if the people re-elect President Hakainde Hichilema and support UPND candidates.

The Vice President urged citizens to uphold peace before, during and after the elections, saying peace and stability are key to sustaining the country’s development agenda.

She appealed to the electorate to give the UPND another mandate to continue implementing programmes aimed at improving the lives of Zambians.

Mrs Nalumango reaffirmed the government’s commitment to free education, stating that the policy will remain in place to ensure every child has access to quality education.

She added that the government will continue investing in the education sector through the provision of school desks, the School Feeding Programme and the recruitment of more teachers.

Ms Nalumango said the government remains committed to employing more health workers, teachers and other qualified professionals in order to improve service delivery across the country.

The Vice President also encouraged farmers to sell their maize to the Food Reserve Agency (FRA), noting that the government has announced an attractive maize buying price that will enhance household incomes while strengthening national food security.

Ms Nalumango further thanked the people of Senga Hill District for their continued support and further urged them to utilize the increased Constituency Development Fund (CDF) which will accelerate community development projects in the district.

And speaking when she held a meeting with the clergy, Mrs Nalumango called on the church to continue praying for peace and unity in the country.

Speaking on behalf of the clergy, Pastor Wellington Silungwe, encouraged President Hakainde Hichilema and Vice President Mutale Nalumango to remain steadfast in their faith and trust in God regardless of the challenges they face.

Reading from Isaiah 41:10, Pastor Silungwe said God commands his people not to fear or be dismayed because he is always with them.

He said even in the midst of difficulties, trials, or dangerous situations, the President and his Vice should remain courageous, knowing that God will strengthen and protect them.

“Fear should not control lives, God’s presence is greater than any problem or danger that you may encounter,” he said.

Pastor Silungwe further called on the President to continue maintaining a close relationship with God through prayer, obedience, and faith adding that those who remain committed to God will continue to experience his guidance, peace, and strength in every season of life.

While in Senga Hill District the Vice President also held a meeting with Traditional leaders.

Mrs Nalumango has since concluded his 5 days visit of some selected districts in Northern Province with Senga Hill District being the last district to be visited.
