MPONGWE District Commissioner Mwambashi Mwitwa has urged Heads of Government Departments in the district to align their plans with President Hakainde Hichilema’s Grow Zambia Agenda.

Mr Mwitwa said civil servants have a critical role to play in ensuring that the Presidential policy directive is implemented at district level.

He disclosed that departments need to plan effectively and improve coordination if the Grow Zambia Agenda is to translate into tangible development for the people of Mpongwe.

“We have a role to play in that Presidential policy directive. We need to plan well as departments and coordinate well in order for the Presidential Grow Zambia Agenda to be realised,” he said.

Mr Mwitwa called on government departments to avoid working in isolation and instead collaborate on programmes that directly benefit communities.
