Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, Anutin Charnvirakul has congratulated President Hakainde Hichilema on his re-election as President of the Republic of Zambia.

Mr Charnvirakul said Thailand stands ready to continue working with Zambia in advancing long standing cooperation and fostering closer ties between the two countries.

In a related development, the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) has also congratulated Mr Hichilema on his re-election as President of Zambia.

AFC President and Chief Executive Officer, Samaila Zubairu, said as a longstanding development partner of Zambia, the AFC stands ready to play an impactful role in supporting the vision of President Hichilema’s administration for Zambia’s economic transformation.

Meanwhile, President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, has congratulated President Hichilema for being re-elected as President of the Republic of Zambia.

President Pavel underscored that Zambia and the Czech Republic have a long-standing history of close relations and friendship, which continues to deepen.
