Huachen International Supply Chain (Zongheng Logistics) Limited seeks to employ a Border/Custom Runner to be based at Nakonde Border in the Clearance Department to join our growing team. POSITION: Border/Customs Runner – Nakonde Border (X1) DEPARTMENT: Clearance JOB PURPOSE The primary objective of this position is to facilitate customs processes at the border to ensure documents move efficiently and to update the clearance team. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Follow up with Customs officers on approval letters and other documents. Examine and verify customs documents and make the relevant entry registrations. Follow up with Customs officers on RO issuance and T1 registration. Coordinate documents with fleet drivers and other runners. Prepare and submit all relevant truck import and export documents to ensure full compliance with local and cross-border authorities. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Minimum Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding or related field. Must reside near the border in Nakonde. Minimum of 2 years’ extensive experience as a Border/Customs Runner. Must have established relationships with Customs officials. Works diligently, provides timely feedback, and remains reachable by phone unless network coverage is genuinely unavailable. Experience handling RIB bonded warehouse customs clearance running OTHER REQUIREMENTS Proactive and hardworking attitude. Must reside near the border area. Willing to work overtime at night, as documents may need to be handed over to the fleet during evening hours. Experience with ASYCUDA system operations is an advantage. NOTE. Interviews will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. GROSS SALARY ZMW5,000.00 TO ZMW6,000.00 PER MONTH.
