CHRIS KADANGO says he was arrested in SOUTH AFRICA and KENYA on his first journey to DUBAI sponsored by a well-wisher, as they suspected him of trafficking drugs and diamonds.
The entrepreneur revealed that he went to Dubai after struggling to go to university despite having 8 points at Grade 12 and getting a 100% scholarship at Cavendish University, as he couldn’t afford the other fees, being a wheelbarrow pusher making little to take care of his grandmother and family.
He further said was suffering so much that he considered suicide but held himself back as he was the only educated person in the family and they all depended on him.
Chris narrated to B Flow that his destiny helper found him through social media after a plea for help he posted on his personal account went viral and one lady of Zambian decent offered him a job in Dubai and covered his transit expenses, after telling her that he just wanted to help his impoverished family and save them from starvation.
However, his journey to Dubai was not smooth, as his loved ones advised him not to, saying it was dangerous, but he went against advice.
After processing his passport and starting off, he met his second challenge at South Africa’s OR Tambo International Airport where they kept him for two days on suspicion of trafficking drugs and swallowing diamonds.
After being released and reaching Kenya, he held in a cell and threatened with deportation back home, but he pleaded. When cleared, he proceeded to Dubai, where he was quickly cleared and met the lady.
The lady took him home, and the following day he started working at a restaurant as a cleaner, runner, and then a waiter; now he is stable and has established his ground financially.
