ZICTA AND BANK OF ZAMBIA SHUT DOWN BRIAN MUNDUBILE’S VOTE PROTECTION FUNDRAISING SHORT CODE

In a surprising development, the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) together with the Bank of Zambia have deactivated the short code used by Brian Mundubile to collect public donations for a Vote Protection initiative.

This action came shortly after Mundubile announced that within just 24 hours, the campaign had mobilized over K860,000 in cash donations and secured financial pledges amounting to K2.8 million.

The reasons behind the shutdown remain unclear, sparking questions among supporters and observers alike.
