MACKY 2 SPEAKS 💔: “MUSICIANS DID NOT SHOW UP FOR ME DURING ELECTIONS”

Zambian music icon Macky 2 has expressed disappointment with some musicians who he says failed to support him during his election campaign in Chingola.

In a statement, Macky 2 clarified that he has nothing but love for fellow musician Mampi, describing her as family and revealing that she supported his campaign financially before the election.

However, he said the broader music fraternity did not turn up for him in the numbers he expected.

“Out of thousands, only like six artists stood with me. In fact, some artists even came to perform for my opponents,” Macky 2 said.

He also directly addressed musician B-Flow, saying he did not support him beyond making Facebook posts.

“Not even you B-Flow… and by the way, utuma Facebook posts don’t count. Lol,” he wrote.

Macky 2 said he does not believe anyone owes him anything, but admitted that the lack of support was disappointing, especially because he believed his victory was intended to benefit the wider music industry.

Despite the disappointment, he said he would continue supporting fellow artists whenever he can not because he expects anything in return, but because helping others is part of who he is..

“It’s still love. I promise to keep showing up for as many artists as I can,” he said.
