President Hakainde Hichilema has pledged to upgrade feeder roads in Senanga District of Western Province, prioritizing the Senanga–Mataa road, if re-elected in the August 13 General Elections.

President Hichilema says the project would not only improve accessibility in the district but also boost trade for the business community.

The Head of State further promised to address the poor mobile phone network currently affecting the area, in order to enhance communication.

President Hichilema made these commitments during a community engagement in Senanga, marking the conclusion of his visit to Western Province.

President Hichilema also assured the people of Senanga that his administration will construct a modern market in the district to provide a conducive environment for traders.

He revealed that the government will soon complete Lewanika University to expand access to higher education for the people in the province.

President Hichilema emphasized that a vote from the people of Senanga would enable him to deliver more development, including initiatives such as Cash-for-Work and Social Cash Transfer programmes among others.
