JOB OPPORTUNITY BOILER OPERATOR Location: Kitwe, ZambiaDepartment: Engineering About the Role We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Boiler Operator to operate and monitor boiler systems efficiently, ensuring a reliable steam supply for production operations while maintaining high safety and operational standards. Key Responsibilities Operate boilers in accordance with approved operating procedures. Maintain accurate daily boiler logbooks and operating records. Monitor coal consumption and ensure efficient fuel usage. Inspect boiler equipment and report defects promptly. Monitor water treatment systems, chemicals, and salt levels. Remove boiler ash safely and maintain housekeeping standards. Coordinate with Production regarding steam demand requirements. Follow shift handover and takeover procedures. Support maintenance activities as directed by supervisors. Ensure compliance with all Safety, Health and Environment requirements. Requirements Grade 12 Certificate. Boiler Attendant Certificate preferred. Boiler Operator Certificate will be an added advantage. Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to identify and respond to operational issues promptly.
