Zambia : More World Leaders Congratulate President Hichilema

President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen, has congratulated President Hakainde Hichilema on his re-election as President of Zambia.

President Bellen has noted that relations between Austria and Zambia are marked by friendship and Trust, adding that adoption of Austria’s first Africa strategy in June, marks a historic commitment towards fostering stronger ties with African partners, including Zambia.

And President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, has also congratulated President Hichilema on his re-election.

President Abbas who is also President of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) underscored that Zambia and Palestine share longstanding bonds of friendship and mutual respect, which the two sides greatly value.

He noted that the two countries are committed to further strengthening the bilateral ties in ways that advance the common interests of Zambia and Palestine.

This was contained in separate statements issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
