Zambia Agriculture and Commercial Show Society, Vice President, Ishmael Mumba, says this year’s show themed, “Fostering Trade and Investment,” was reflected in the exhibitors’ efforts to showcase value-added products, modern farming technologies and services that create employment opportunities.

Mr Mumba congratulated winners of the 98th Agriculture and Commercial Show awards, describing them as key contributors to Zambia’s economic growth through excellence, innovation and commitment.

Speaking today during the winners’ luncheon held at the Main Pavilion at the Showgrounds, Mr Mumba said the gathering was not only an opportunity to share a meal but also to celebrate outstanding achievements in agriculture, commerce, innovation and service delivery.

He said the award recipients had distinguished themselves by setting high standards in their respective sectors, adding that their dedication had contributed to the continued success of the Zambia Agriculture and Commercial Show as the country’s premier platform for trade and investment.

The Society Vice President praised the Zambia Agriculture and Commercial Society Secretariat for successfully organizing what he described as a ‘world-class exhibition.’

Mr Mumba commended the judges for conducting the awards process with fairness and professionalism and thanked sponsors and cooperating partners for supporting the event.

He further expressed gratitude to the Ministries of Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock, Commerce, Trade and Industry, Small and Medium Enterprise Development, as well as other government institutions, for their continued support towards the annual show.

Mr Mumba urged the award winners to use the recognition as motivation to continue innovating and increasing productivity, while inspiring others to strive for excellence.

The luncheon was attended by Zambia Agriculture and Commercial Society Director and former president Duncan Mukula, Chief Executive Officer Mukamba Mwiya, Show Board members, senior government officials, sponsors, cooperating partners, representatives from the Energy Regulation Board, exhibitors, judges, distinguished award winners and members of the fourth estate.
