THE Kabwe Magistrates’ Court has set October 1, 2026 for commencement of trial in a matter in which 33-year-old businessman James Thole, popularly known as Commander One, is facing charges of assault, malicious damage, criminal trespass and undue influence.

Thole, of house number ZC149 in Katondo Compound, is facing five counts before Resident Magistrate Sebastian Mwenya.

When the matter came up for mention, Magistrate Mwenya adjourned it to October 1 for commencement of trial after the State and defence counsel agreed on the date.

“Today you just appeared so that we set your date to start your trial. Your counsel and the State have agreed that we start your case on October 1, 2026. Meanwhile, you are remanded in police custody,” Magistrate Mwenya ruled.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Mwenya, sitting in for Principal Resident Magistrate Mubita Kalaluka, adjourned another matter in which Thole is accused of assaulting his wife, Sandra Nachilindi, to October 9, 2026 for commencement of trial.

Thole is facing one count of assaulting Ms Nachilindi on September 4, 2026, contrary to the law.

In three other matters before Magistrate Neto Zulu, Magistrate Mwenya adjourned the cases to October 1, 2026 for mention.
