Junior Chipolopolo Head Coach Perry Mutapa has named a 26-man squad for the 2026 TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations COSAFA Qualifier in Mozambique.

The 12-time COSAFA champions will be aiming to reclaim the regional title and secure their 13th championship when the tournament kicks off in Mozambique.

 Zambia last won the competition in 2022, defeating Mozambique to a 1-nil in the final.

The tournament, which brings together 12 teams, will run from September 18th to 27th, 2026.

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) announced that the Junior Chipolopolo will leave for Mozambique this afternoon.

The squad includes two goalkeepers, six defenders, nine midfielders and nine forwards.

Goalkeepers include Christo Chitambala of Kabwe Warriors and Hendrix Kanyungulu of Green Eagles.

Defenders are Andrew Mwape of Nkwazi FC, Charles Kampamba and Jonathan Kalimina of Kafue Celtic, Joseph Shankandi of Mufulira Wanderers, Samson Jimmy Ngoma of Airport Warriors and Gift Mumbi.

Midfielders include Wise Kambanji of Young Zanaco, Allan Mumba of Zesco United, Tumelo Mununga of C.D. Leganes in Spain, Duncan Musialela of Green Eagles, Philimon Chilimina of Chirundu United, Bunonge Bunonge of Lumwana Radiants, Gilbert Lungu of FC Muza, Evaristo Himanga of Chirundu United and Felix Jere of Green Buffaloes.

And Strikers include Thomas Mwanza of Lumwana Radiants, John Foloko of Mufulira Wanderers, Gibson Mooya of Power Dynamos, Kayula Chinunda of Mpande Youth.

Others are Billy Daka of Nkwazi FC, Bridger Ng’andu of FC Muza, Sipho Mutanga Junior of Randburg FC in South Africa, Abel Salim Nyirongo of Atletico Lusaka and Daniel Silubonde of Power Dynamos.

The Junior Chipolopolo will be hoping to build on Zambia’s 2022 triumph as they seek another COSAFA U-20 championship title.
