The Lunda Cultural Association of Zambia (LUCAZ) Mwinilunga chapter has advised the newly elected officials to work hand in hand with the traditional leadership, stakeholders and the larger community in promoting cultural heritage, social development and economic empowerment for all people in the district.

LUCAZ Mwinilunga chapter Chairperson Isaac Mungwala pledged the association’s full support and cooperation for the new political office bearers as they work together in delivering development for all, while preserving the district’s cultural heritage.

Mr Mungwala congratulated the newly elected Mwinilunga East and Mwinilunga West Members of Parliament, Mukanzu Lualaba and Jonathan Kapaipi, for their resounding victory in the just ended August 13, 2026 general elections.

The Association further extended its warm congratulations to the incoming Town Council Chairperson Kenson Samalowa and all the newly elected councillors from the 21 wards in the district.

Mr Mungwala noted that their election victory is a demonstration of the confidence and trust the people of Mwinilunga have in their leadership to provide service, promote development and uphold peace and unity in the district.

Mr Mungwala said the association prays that the newly elected officials will be guided by wisdom, integrity, and a spirit of service for all as they assume office.
