PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema on Friday thanked residents of Senanga in Western Province for attending a meeting and urged them to vote for the UPND in August.

Hichilema said: “Thank you! Thank you! Thank sichaba sa Senanga in Western Province for coming to our meeting.”

He said the government will continue delivering development “closer to every corner of Zambia” and offered “zwelopili,” a Lozi term meaning reassurance.

“When we asked you to give us a mandate in 2021, we knew exactly that we needed to deliver even more,” Hichilema said. “Yes, so much has been done but there is more to be done and we are determined to continue delivering for you all.”

The President also highlighted peace and security, saying: “There is peace in Zambia. No more cadres in military fatigue threatening women and youth in public places.”

He closed by calling on voters to support the UPND.

“All you need to do this August is to vote for us, the UPND. We love you. We care for you and we will continue delivering for you all,” Hichilema said.
