A Senior Government official in Mpulungu District has called on stakeholders to support the success of the Transforming Landscapes for Resilience and Development (TRALARD) II project.

Mpulungu District Commissioner Gehard Sikazwe says the project should be supported by relevant stakeholders for it to bring about socio-economic development of the district.

Mr Sikazwe disclosed that the project has the potential to significantly improve the living standards of people and boost local economic activities in Mpulungu and the surrounding areas.

Speaking during the District Development Coordinating Committee meeting, Mr Sikazwe explained that the Tralard II project is part of the broader national development agenda which focuses on enhancing social amenities and promoting sustainable livelihoods.

“This project is designed to create opportunities for local residents, especially in the areas of small-scale enterprises and cooperatives. this is why community participation and stakeholder support are vital for the project,” he explained

Mr Sikazwe has since urged stakeholders to ensure that the project benefits the most vulnerable groups and marginalized populations in Mpulungu.

TRALARD II Project District Operations Officer James Chilufya reaffirmed the project’s commitment to helping the community with necessary support that will make them realise the full benefit of the project.

Mr Chilufya emphasised that shared responsibility among all stakeholders is essential for overcoming challenges that the project might face and maximizing the project’s impact.

He assured stakeholders that adequate resources and technical assistance would be provided to facilitate smooth implementation.

Mr Chilufya has also called on stakeholders to share their expertise and innovative ideas to enhance the project’s effectiveness.

He said with strong community involvement and strategic partnerships, the initiative is poised to bring about meaningful change in the district.
