FUEL PRICES JUMP BY MORE THAN K6 PER LITRE.

Motorists across Zambia are set to pay significantly more for fuel following a new price adjustment announced by the Energy Regulation Board (ERB).

The biggest increases have been recorded in petrol and diesel, with both products rising by more than K6 per litre.

Petrol will now cost K31.46 per litre, up from K25.29, representing an increase of K6.17.

Diesel has recorded an even higher adjustment, moving from K26.86 to K33.27 per litre, an increase of K6.41.

The ERB has also raised the price of kerosene from K27.02 to K29.76 per litre, while Jet A-1 has moved from K28.71 to K31.85 per litre.

The revised prices are scheduled to come into effect at midnight on 30 September 2026 and will remain applicable until the next scheduled fuel-price review.
