DotCom Zambia, the only small and medium enterprise listed on the Lusaka Securities Exchange, is reported to have been the lead price gainer for the market period ending 4th September 2026.
According to the Stockbrokers Zambia Weekly Equity and Economic Report DotCom Zambia (DCZM), it was the lead price gainer on the exchange, recording an increase of K2.60 (USD 0.14), which is roughly about 11.82%, to close at K24.60 ($1.3).
A further check in the report shows that DotCom Zambia was the only equity listed on the exchange that recorded a price gain, as major companies like CEC, Zambeef, and British American Tobacco Zambia PlC were all on the price losing side.
Zambia Business Times—ZBT further conducted an interview with a well-known broker whose name remains withheld who attributed the positive performance of DotCom Zambia seen on the market to high demand in the company’s stock.
Speaking in an interview with Zambia Business Times-ZBT, the source noted that DotCom Zambia’s stock is having high demand, which is reflecting the positive price movement seen in the market period under review.
“The 11% increase seen in DotCom Zambia price movement is mainly due to increased demand in the stock, where most investors are looking to grab a share in the company,” noted the source.
