GOVERNMENT has constructed a one-by-three classroom block, modern ablution block and  installed a water reticulation system at Chituba Primary School in Milenge District at a cost of over K2.9 million under the 2025 Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

Chituba Primary School Headteacher, Gilbert Mutuna, says the development is expected to ease pressure on classroom space and improve sanitation at the school.

Mr Mutuna observed that the classroom block, is yet to be commissioned but is expected to ease pressure on classroom space and allow the school to increase enrolment.

He stated that the school previously had only a one-by-two classroom block and was forced to use a makeshift classroom to supplement the available learning space.

“Last time our enrolment levels were around 400, but now with this 1×3 classroom block we expect it to go up to about 600 pupils,” he said.
