Chilanga Town Council has started renewing business levies, health permits, fire certificates and permits for the storage of dangerous petroleum products for 2027.
Chilanga Town Council Secretary Stephen Malenga has urged traders and business owners in the district to apply for renewal of their permits before October 31, 2026.
According to a public notice issued to the media Mr Malenga said failure to renew the permits within the stipulated period would attract penalties as prescribed by law.
He said the council has introduced an online platform that allows traders, business owners and residents to pay for property rates, business levies, health permits and fire certificates.
Mr Malenga said the initiative is aimed at making it easier for clients to settle their bills with minimal inconvenience.
He has since urged clients to visit the council offices or its Facebook page to learn how to use the online platform
