CELESTINE MUKANDILA GRANTED K20,000 BAIL

Tonse Pamodzi Alliance Secretary General and lawyer Celestine Mukandila has been granted K20,000 cash bail by the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court in a case he is facing four counts of forgery and uttering false documents.

Mukandila pleaded not guilty to all four counts involving documents relating to the alleged surrender of shares in ZRIMS Farm Limited belonging to Yae es Salim Sheth, allegedly committed between July 14, 2022 and July 25, 2024.

Lusaka Resident Magistrate Anna Holland granted Mukandila bail with two sureties each bonded at K15,000, after rejecting the State’s objection that he was a flight risk.

The court also ordered him to surrender his travelling documents and not interfere with prosecution witnesses, with trial set to begin on October 13, 2026.
