National Restoration Party United Platform (NRPUP) presidential candidate Brian Mundubile has announced that his presidential campaign has received more than K860,000 in cash donations and K2.8 million in financial pledges within 24 hours of launching its fundraising initiative.

In a statement shared on social media on Sunday, Mundubile described the response as “overwhelming” and said it reflected growing support for his presidential bid ahead of the 2026 General Election.

According to Mundubile, the fundraising campaign, which was launched on Saturday alongside his running mate, has attracted contributions from Zambians both within the country and abroad.

“Within 24 hours, we have received over K860,000 cash in financial donations. In addition, our campaign fundraising team has recorded K2.8 million of campaign financial pledges coming this week from yesterday 15:00 to today same time,” Mundubile said.

He described the contributions as an unprecedented show of confidence in his leadership and thanked supporters for what he called a historic political endorsement.

“Clearly, this is unprecedented popular approval and countrywide support that I, as your servant President, Brian Mundubile, do not take for granted. I am thankful and indebted to you all for this profound gesture and historic political endorsement,” he said.

The NRPUP leader also acknowledged a wide cross-section of Zambians whom he said had supported the campaign through donations. He mentioned marketeers, farmers, public transport operators, university and college students, salon and barbershop workers, welders, miners, nurses, teachers, uniformed officers, council workers, business owners, landlords, tenants, members of the diaspora, doctors, mechanics, security guards, domestic workers and villagers among others.

Mundubile said the response demonstrated that his campaign belonged to ordinary Zambians and encouraged supporters to continue contributing financially while spreading awareness about the fundraising initiative.

“Please continue donating, continue visiting the platform and continue sharing the information with your friends, workmates and family every day. This is a visible testimony that this campaign and my presidency belong to you as Zambians,” he said.

He further urged citizens to remain peaceful as the country heads towards the polls, saying his campaign was committed to pursuing victory through lawful and democratic means.

“Let us peacefully walk together and legally win this election together as One Zambia, One Nation,” Mundubile added.

The announcement comes as political parties intensify their campaigns and fundraising efforts ahead of the 2026 General Election, with candidates seeking financial support from members and sympathisers to finance campaign activities across the country.
