Position Overview: Vehicle Tracker Technician & Loan Officer The successful candidate will install GPS tracking devices on a variety of motor vehicles and perform detailed valuations and assessments to support our operations. Additionally, you will collaborate with the debt collection team to assist with asset recovery and provide loan advisory services to customers, ensuring a comprehensive role that blends technical and financial responsibilities. Key Responsibilities for Vehicle Tracker Technician Jobs in Lusaka Tracker Installation: Install GPS tracking devices on cars, trucks, motorcycles, and other vehicles. Ensure correct wiring and optimal placement for maximum device performance. Test devices thoroughly to confirm connectivity and functionality. Troubleshoot technical issues during installation and provide customer guidance on device use. Motor Vehicle Valuation & Assessment: Conduct comprehensive vehicle valuations considering condition, market value, and specifications. Follow established procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of assessments. Analyze vehicle history, market trends, and comparable sales data. Prepare detailed valuation reports and collaborate with Risk Management, Debt Collections, and Sales teams. Asset Recovery: Work closely with the Debt Collection team to trace and recover vehicles. Provide support to debt collectors as required. Loan Officer Duties: Engage with customers to understand their loan needs and recommend suitable products. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of loan products and qualification criteria. Review loan files daily to ensure completeness and expedite processing. Evaluate borrower risk and manage client portfolios through the loan lifecycle. General Responsibilities: Adhere to safety protocols during installations and assessments. Keep accurate records of all installations, valuations, and assessments. Stay informed on industry trends and technological advancements. Collaborate effectively with colleagues and maintain professionalism in all interactions. Qualifications & Experience Craft Certificate, diploma, or equivalent qualification in automotive electrical or mechanical engineering. Experience with GPS tracker installation on various vehicle types is preferred. Strong understanding of vehicle electrical wiring and mechanical systems. Prior experience in motor vehicle valuation and assessment is highly desirable. Valid driver’s license for cars and motorbikes is an advantage. Excellent technical troubleshooting skills with a strong attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
