ZCCB BISHOPS VISIT ARCHBISHOP ALICK BANDA AT CHIMBOKAILA PRISON

Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB) President Most Rev. Ignatius Chama has led a delegation of Catholic Bishops to Chimbokaila Prison to visit the Archbishop of Lusaka, Most Rev. Dr. Alick Banda..

The delegation included Rt. Rev. Charles Kasonde of Solwezi, Rt. Rev. Edwin Mulandu of Mpika, Rt. Rev. Clement Mulenga of Kabwe, Rt. Rev. Patrick Chisanga of Mansa, Rt. Rev. Raphael Mwempwa, Rt. Rev. George Zumaire Lungu of Chipata, and Auxiliary Bishop of Chipata, Rt. Rev. Gabriel Msipu.

J ArchBishop Dr Alick Banda remains in custody as his lawyers  make efforts to successfully meet his bail conditions set by resident magistrate Mwandu Nakazwe.

The lawyers led by John Sangwa SC, and Bonaventure Mutale SC have been at court to try and ensure their client does not spend another night in the Lusaka Correctional Centre aka Chimbokaila.
