Speaking during a media briefing in Solwezi today, where he was flanked by other traditional leaders, Sub-Chief Mbonge said the re-election of President Hichilema is well deserved.
The traditional leader has also commended voters across the province for turning out peacefully and exercising their constitutional right, adding that the conduct of the electorate demonstrated maturity and commitment to peace which must be sustained beyond the election period.
He has also appealed to supporters of all parties to remain calm and remain united and avoid actions that could disrupt peace regardless of their political affiliation.
He has further called for peace and unity among the newly elected leaders, to achieve national development regardless of their political affiliation.
And Sub Chief Kajoba said the election period is over and it is time to develop the province and ensure it has a university and airport infrastructure development among others.
