Tonse Pamodzi Secretary General CELESTINE MUKANDILA has pleaded not guilty to charges of forgery and uttering false documents.

Mr. MUKANDILA, aged 36, entered the plea yesterday before Lusaka Resident Magistrate ANNA HOLLAND.

The prosecution alleges that between July 14, 2022 and July 25, 2024, Mr. MUKANDILA forged the signature of YAEES SALIM SHETH on a letter purporting to surrender shares in ZRIMS Farm Limited.

It is alleged that the letter falsely indicated that Mr. SHETH had surrendered his shares in the company.

Mr. MUKANDILA is also accused of fraudulently uttering a notice of forfeiture or surrender of shares, which is a document issued by the Patent and Companies Registration Agency -PACRA-.

Meanwhile, Mr. MUKANDILA has been granted 20,000 Kwacha cash bail pending trial.

He has also been ordered to provide two working sureties, each bound in the sum of 15,000 Kwacha in their own recognisance.
