President Hakainde Hichilema has arrived back in Lusaka aboard an Emirates flight following his two-day working visit to the United Arab Emirates.

The President arrived at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport at about 15:00 and, while speaking to journalists, directly addressed speculation surrounding his health.

HH says he is not sick and did not go to hospital while in the UAE.

President Hichilema had travelled to Abu Dhabi for a working visit that included meetings with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, discussions on fuel-price stability with ADNOC Global Trading and a Zambia-UAE Business and Investment Forum.

The UAE visit resulted in announced investment agreements worth more than US$2 billion, while discussions with ADNOC focused on longer-term fuel supply arrangements and moving away from monthly pump-price adjustments.

But today, the President’s health has become one of the main questions following his return.

HH was still speaking to journalists at KKIA by press time.
