ZAMBIA HAS DECIDED, TIME TO UNITE AND BUILD OUR NATION

The elections are over, and Zambia has spoken. The people have exercised their democratic right and made their choice. As we move beyond the political season, it is time for all Zambians to put aside political differences and focus on what truly matters—the development of our nation.

Political campaigns often bring intense debate and differing opinions, but once the people have rendered their verdict, the nation must come together in the interest of peace, unity and progress. Zambia’s future depends not on political divisions, but on our collective commitment to building a stronger and more prosperous country.

As citizens, we may belong to different political parties and hold different views, but we all share a common desire for economic growth, job creation, improved public services and a better quality of life for our people. These aspirations should now become our common denominator as we work together to advance national development.

There can only be one leader at a time, and democracy demands that we respect the choice made by the majority. The true test of our patriotism is not how we behave when we win, but how we unite as a nation after the contest is over.

I therefore extend my heartfelt congratulations to President-elect Hakainde Hichilema on his re-election as President of the Republic of Zambia. The Zambian people have once again entrusted him with the responsibility of leading the nation, and I wish him God’s guidance, wisdom and strength as he begins another term of service to our country.

As President Hichilema assumes this renewed mandate, it is my hope that Zambia will continue on the path of economic transformation, unity, peace and sustainable development. The opportunities before us are immense, and with collective effort, we can achieve even greater progress for our nation.

Let us therefore put politics behind us and embrace the task of nation-building. Let us support initiatives that promote development, create opportunities for our youth and improve the welfare of all citizens.

Congratulations once again, President-elect Hakainde Hichilema. May your victory usher in renewed hope, greater prosperity and continued progress for the people of Zambia.

The elections are over. Zambia has decided. Now is the time to unite and move our nation forward together.
