President Hakainde Hichilema has pledged that his administration will continue fostering development across the country.

President Hichilema explains that to attain this, his administration has come up with a number of interventions such as the Cash for Work programme and free education among other strategies.

The Head of State also cited the skills development component under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) stating that the move ensures young people are equipped with knowledge in lifelong skills in plumbing among other trades.

President Hichilema explained that his administration will work on constructing a skills training centre in Kasenengwa district, to ensure young people access the services locally.

The Head of State was speaking during a public gathering held at Kasenengwa Primary School Grounds in Kasenengwa District today.

“We will ensure that a skills training centre is constructed in the district so that people can train from here as opposed to going to other areas”, he said.

President Hichilema said the Chipata-Msoro road which has been problematic for some time will also be worked on in order to ease movements among residents.

“The Chipata-Msoro road has been on my mind therefore, don’t even doubt it because we will definitely work on it”, he said.

President Hichilema added that his administration is also working towards paying farmers that are supplying their maize to the Food Reserve Agency (FRA) in good time to enable them prepare for the next farming season adequately.

The Head of State has since called on electorates in the area to rally behind the United Party for National Development (UPND) in the forthcoming General Election to enable him deliver more development in the area.
