District Electoral Officer, Nsama Chiti, described the exercise as successful and thanked all stakeholders for the professionalism exhibited during the process.
Ms Chiti said the Commission will commence the deployment of poll staff to four wards of the district, with the exercise expected to continue up to Wednesday, 12th August, 2026.
She further pledged the Commission’s continued transparency to ensure the delivery of free, fair, and credible elections.
Meanwhile, representatives of political parties and independent candidates expressed satisfaction with the verification process.
Liswaniso Mutomena, representing an independent candidate, said he was happy with the transparency shown throughout the exercise and urged the Commission to maintain the same standard as it distributes ballot papers to all polling stations.
And United Party for National Development (UPND) Representative, Ilukena Mwindwa, called on all electorates to turn out in large numbers and vote peacefully on 13th August.
