Pupils at Milomfi Primary School in Lubu Ward, Chinsali District, Muchinga Province, are set to benefit from improved learning infrastructure following the construction of a new classroom block under the 2026 Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

The one-by-two classroom block has been constructed at a cost of K745, 330 to provide additional learning space for pupils at the school.

Chinsali Municipal Council Public Relations Officer Lolavye Simukoko confirmed the development in a statement made available to the media.

Mr Simukoko said the project had been completed and was awaiting handover to the community.

“The project has been completed and is currently awaiting handover to the community for use by the pupils,” Mr Simukoko said.

He said the new classroom block would help ease pressure on the existing classroom infrastructure and provide pupils with a more conducive learning environment.

“The additional learning space will help reduce pressure on the existing classrooms and contribute to providing a better learning environment for pupils,” Mr Simukoko said.

Mr Simukoko explained that the existing classroom block at the school was constructed by the community.

Meanwhile, community members have welcomed the completion of the project, which they have said will provide much-needed learning space for pupils.

The community expressed eagerness for the facility to be handed over so that pupils can begin using the new classrooms.

The project is part of the Government’s efforts to improve access to adequate and conducive learning infrastructure through the CDF programme.
