Youth Life Project has commended the youths on the peaceful conduct they have shown during and after the campaign period, describing it as evidence of leadership as they participate in civic duties.

YouthLife Project Founder, Micheal Nkhosi says it is important for young people to change the narrative and influence policy making that will shape an inclusive democracy.

Mr Nhosi has since urged the young people to ensure that they take up their rightful places in society and be the centre of influence in all national activities.

“We need to account for ourselves and ensure that we leave no room for violence, so we are really excited about the strides that we have made so far, we implore the young people to protect this victory that has been achieved,” he said.

He has also called on political players to ensure that the numbers of the young people in parliament are increased, in order to ensure that they become major political players that contribute to national building and prosperity.

Mr Nkhosi also congratulated President- elect, Hakainde Hichilema on his victory, stating that it is a demonstration that the young people believe in his visionary leadership and has since called for productivity that is championed by the young people.
