‎‎UPND maybe trying to accommodate an ‘erratic’ losing candidate in Mafinga to stop them ‘spilling the beans’ – Kalaba

‎Citizens First (CF) leader Harry Kalaba says he suspects that there is a scheme to nullify the seat held by the party’s Faith Munthali in Mafinga South, in order to accommodate “an erratic” losing candidate from being outside the corridors of power as they fear the same might start spilling the beans.

‎According to media reports, Munthali has been arrested and charged with being armed in public and conspiracy to commit a felony.

‎Muchinga Province Commissioner of Police Lubinda Mayamba is quoted as having said that the offences were allegedly committed between July 13 and August 14, 2026, in the Muyombe area of Mafinga District.

‎But Kalaba said according to information he had received, Munthali had not yet been charged and only heard about the same charges in the media. He suspected something more sinister with some losing candidate in Mafinga South.
