Tambatamba retains Kasempa seat for UPND

FORMER Minister of Labour Brenda Tambatamba has retained the Kasempa Constituency parliamentary seat after comfortably defeating four other candidates. Ms. Tambatamba, standing on the United Party for National Development ticket, polled 7,222 votes. Independent candidate Peter Masumba finished second with 4,147 votes, followed by fellow Independent Mukatuka Binwell with 1,691 votes. Mafuleti Chinyemba placed fourth

FORMER Minister of Labour Brenda Tambatamba has retained the Kasempa Constituency parliamentary seat after comfortably defeating four other candidates.

Ms. Tambatamba, standing on the United Party for National Development ticket, polled 7,222 votes.

Independent candidate Peter Masumba finished second with 4,147 votes, followed by fellow Independent Mukatuka Binwell with 1,691 votes.

Mafuleti Chinyemba placed fourth with 1,086 votes, while Independent Kamenga Howard polled 695 votes.
