POLISH FOREIGN MINISTER SIKORSKI SAYS POLAND COULD DEFEAT RUSSIA QUICKLY IF ATTACKED
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski has claimed that Poland could defeat Russia relatively quickly if Moscow launched an attack and Warsaw fully mobilized its military capabilities.
“If Russia attacked us and we took the gloves off, I think we would defeat Russia fairly quickly,” Sikorski said.
The Polish minister argued that Poland would have an “overwhelming advantage” in air power in the event of a direct military confrontation with Russia.
Sikorski also suggested that Poland could destroy Russia’s remaining oil-refining capacity even faster than Ukraine, following major Ukrainian strikes on Russian energy infrastructure.
His remarks come amid heightened tensions between Poland and Russia and growing concerns over the security of NATO’s eastern flank.
