NRPUP PLAN STAGE MANAGED ATTACKS IN SOUTHERN PROVINCE TO BLAME UPND – KAMBWILI

Multiple sources from security agencies and NRPUP have independently revealed that elements within the National Revolutionary Party for Unity and Progress [NRPUP] plan to stage attacks on their own campaign entourage in Southern Province.

Sources within the party in Kasama claim that Mr Chipili, the NRPUP candidate for Kasama, told a meeting that recruits would be hired in Southern Province, masked, and instructed to stone NRPUP party vehicles and blame in on the UPND.

The aim, according to the KAMBWILI and Chipili, is to create the impression that “Southerners are attacking us” and to relay that narrative to Eastern and Northern provinces. The sources say NRPUP aligned media crews have already been arranged to cover  the stage managed incidents.

The same sources also state that they intend  targeting Monze, Choma and Kalomo, and named Mr Trevor Mwiinde as a person they want to falsely link to the group. The sources further say there is a plot to poison Mr Evans Hichilema in Chinsali.

Prior to the 2021 elections, the PF burnt markets and other infrastructure in order to implicate the then opposition leader Hakainde Hichilema and stop him from standing as President.

Sources further say Security Agencies are on high alert and have instituted an investigation on the plans by the NRPUP.- Koswe
