Hours before catching his flight to Nairobi, Kenya, UPND loyalist, Joe Muchindu left a powerful message for the nation, a call for peace, unity and collective focus on growing Zambia.

Speaking at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport before departure, Muchindu said Zambia does not need division and insults, but unity of purpose behind President Hakainde Hichilema’s transformational agenda.

“I am traveling to Kenya today, but my message to Zambia is simple: Let us choose peace over hate, unity over tribalism, and growing Zambia over petty politics,” Muchindu said.

Muchindu said President Hichilema has set the tone for a new Zambia where every Zambian matters.

“President Hichilema has taught us that One Zambia One Nation is not just a song, it is a lifestyle. He has brought peace where there was cadreism, unity where there was division, and hope where there was despair. Now it is our duty to protect that peace,” he said.

He noted that the inclusion agenda in the amended Constitution, five seats for Persons with Disabilities, plus seats for women and youth is proof that no one is being left behind.

“You cannot grow Zambia by leaving others behind. President Hichilema says leave no one behind, and he means it. For the first time, the disabled, the youth and women are not just clapping, they are at the table making decisions. That is how you grow a nation,” he charged.

“Free education has brought 2 million children back to class, CDF is building schools in Siamakando, Batoka, Mutandalike and clinics in every ward in Choma and other parts of the country. Farmers are paid on time, the economy is stable. This is what happens when a country chooses work over noise,” Muchindu stated.

Muchindu urged UPND members and Zambians across political divides to reject merchants of hate and tribalism.

“We can disagree on politics, but we must never disagree on Zambia. Kenya is growing because Kenyans choose Kenya first. Let us do the same. Let us choose peace. Let us choose unity. Let us choose to grow Zambia together under President Hichilema,” he said.

Muchindu is in Kenya for a brief engagement and is expected back next week to resume grassroots interactions for President Hichilema’s administration.
