Nkombwa Constituency’s newly elected area Member of Parliament, Jairo Simbeye, has pledged to work closely with education authorities in Isoka District.

Mr Simbeye committed to working with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure that government policies being implemented in the education sector yield the intended results.

Mr Simbeye stated that the government has invested significant resources in the education sector through programmes such as free education, school feeding initiatives, health rooms, and the recruitment of teachers.

Speaking in an interview with the media, Mr Simbeye called for concerted efforts if Nkombwa Constituency is to record impressive school results.

He reaffirmed his commitment to ensure that education guidelines and policies are adhered to and that issues which could compromise the quality of education are addressed promptly.

“Every policy should be adhered to, knowing that our President has committed himself to ensuring that every child gets the education they deserve,” Mr Simbeye said.

Mr Simbeye said his office will work with the District Education Board Secretary (DEBS) to monitor the distribution of teachers in the constituency and ensure a balanced pupil-teacher ratio.

He has also urged teachers deployed to remote parts of the constituency to willingly serve the communities where they have been posted.

Mr Simbeye commended teachers who have continued serving in remote areas, saying their contribution towards educating children is highly appreciated.

He further urged parents, teachers and leaders at all levels to work together to ensure that learners receive the care and support required for them to attain quality education.

Mr Simbeye said the government has committed substantial resources towards educating children and all stakeholders should therefore play their part in ensuring that the investment yields positive results.

He said his office will remain open to concerns affecting teachers and learners that require intervention for the smooth running of schools in the constituency.
