Iran’s IRGC Appeals to U.S. Voters to Reject Trump’s Policies

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has issued a 25-page open letter directly addressing the American people, urging voters to reject President Donald Trump’s policies ahead of the U.S. midterm elections

The IRGC called on Americans to oppose U.S. support for Israel and foreign military interventions, while arguing that Washington and Tehran could coexist peacefully if U.S. policy toward Iran changes.

The letter accused the Trump administration of misleading Americans about Iran’s nuclear program and the conflict with Tehran, while claiming that U.S. military operations have failed to achieve Washington’s stated objectives.

IRGC spokesman Hossein Mohebbi said Tehran does not expect the letter to immediately change the Trump administration’s behavior, but believes American voters may reconsider their views if they receive more information about the conflict.

The appeal comes roughly five weeks before the U.S. midterm elections, turning the confrontation between Washington and Tehran into an increasingly visible political issue inside the United States.
