GENERAL KANENE FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE  AFTER BRUTAL PANGA ATTACK BY UPND.

Zambia’s celebrated artist Clifford Ndimba, popularly known as General Kanene and famous for calling himself “2Pac Wamu Zambia,” is nursing serious injuries after allegedly being hacked with pangas by suspected UPND cadres.

General Kanene was in Shibuyunji performing for Independent candidate Ibrahim Mwamba when chaos reportedly erupted.

Suspected cadres allegedly stormed the campaign event and launched a violent attack, leaving the musician seriously injured.

In a video circulating on social media, General Kanene is seen jumping from the stage before falling to the ground as a group of people allegedly descend on him.

He is then reportedly attacked with machetes and Golf sticks in scenes that have shocked many Zambians.

The popular musician was rushed to hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment for his injuries.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim Mwamba has alleged that he was the main target of the attack and claims a cadre linked to State House security led the assault.

He further alleged that the same individual had previously assaulted former Cabinet Minister Gary Nkombo in Mazabuka.

Mr. Mwamba said the attackers had come to kill him.

“UPND cadres came to kill me but failed. Only General Kanene’s life is in danger. He was admitted at Chawama Hospital after he was hacked with a panga and beaten using golf sticks, while I was helped by villagers to hide in the bush, about 10 kilometres away, before taking refuge in an SDA Church,” he alleged.

Mr. Mwamba further claimed that he sustained a fractured knee and ankle during the incident.

“I have a fractured knee and ankle. I have just finished reporting the matter to Shibuyunji District Police with several medical reports. My phones, laptops, money and sound systems were stolen or damaged. We have identified one notable cadre whom we believe is destroying President Hakainde Hichilema’s legacy in the fight against political violence. This individual is known to be a State House employee under security. His attacks against independent candidates are now out of hand. He was in Mazabuka before, and today he was in Shibuyunji,” he alleged.

UPND cadres came to kill me but failed only General Kanene his life is in danger admitted at chawama hospital where he was rushed after he was hacked by a panga and beaten using Golf sticks as I was helped by the villagers to hide in the bush 10 kilometers away which made me Hide  in an SDA church .

I have a fractured knee and Ankle just finished reporting to Shibuyunji District police with several medical reports with missing phones ,laptops,money and sound systems were stolen and damaged .

we have identified one notable cadre who is destroying President HH legacy on the fight against violence in this country this guy is known to be a state house employee under security but his appetite against independent cadres is now out of hand first he was in Mazabuka and today in Shibuyunji.

I can only wish him well but just one day will have a conversation am not a child of a lesser God I was born from a strong woman after 9 months 🙏🏻 we have reported and we wait for the police to act and do there part am not in the mood of importing cadres from Lusaka to Nampundwe for my safety I don’t want to champion violence but enjoy a peaceful campaign with a free and fair elections.
