First Lady Mutinta Hichilema has received Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Edinburgh during a courtesy call this afternoon.

Mrs Hichilema described the meeting as a warm and engaging exchange, marked by thoughtful discussions around community service and efforts to improve the lives of vulnerable people

She said the engagement provided an opportunity to share the work being undertaken by her Office in supporting vulnerable communities through education, empowering women and young people, and improving maternal health.

The First Lady said she was grateful for the Duchess of Edinburgh’s genuine interest in causes aimed at making a meaningful difference in the lives of people around the world.

She said the engagement underscored the shared commitment to service, community empowerment and uplifting vulnerable populations.

The First Lady expressed appreciation for the continued attention to initiatives that contribute to the wellbeing and development of communities in Zambia and beyond.
