CHIVAYO CELEBRATES DECADES-LONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH LUXURY GIFTS

Businessman Wicknell Chivayo has rewarded two of his longstanding lawyers with luxury vehicles and substantial cash gifts, celebrating relationships that have spanned nearly three decades.

Chivayo paid tribute to senior lawyer Wilson Tatenda Manase and Advocate Sylvester Hashiti, describing them as more than legal advisers — but also mentors, brothers, trusted confidants and lifelong friends.

In a statement, Chivayo said his relationship with Manase dates back to 1998, when he was renting a single room in Hillside and trying to establish himself.

He said Manase had remained by his side through different seasons of life and business, while also introducing him to Advocates Lewis Uriri SC and Sylvester Hashiti.

To honour that longstanding relationship, Chivayo said Manase will receive a brand-new 2026 Lexus GX 550 valued at US$220,000, together with US$250,000 in cash for fuel and personal upkeep.

Hashiti will receive a brand-new 2026 Range Rover Sport Autobiography, along with US$500,000 in cash.

Chivayo said the gifts were his way of recognising loyalty, friendship, mentorship and professional support that had endured from his early days to his present business success.

“These two men are amazing and have supported me wholeheartedly for decades from back in the days of poverty to where life has brought us today,” Chivayo said.

He said relationships built over such a long period, through different seasons of life and business, deserved to be recognised and celebrated.

“Thank you for the counsel, the mentorship, the friendship and above all for simply being there through the years,” he said.

Chivayo congratulated both lawyers and wished them continued success in their profession.
