GOVERNMENT has called for strengthened cooperation between Zambia and China in technology, investment, infrastructure and human capital development to accelerate the implementation of the Grow Zambia Agenda.

Ministry of Defence Permanent Secretary Maamba Haamaundu says enhanced collaboration with China will be instrumental in transforming Zambia into a productive, industrialised and export-oriented economy, while creating jobs and improving the quality of life for citizens.

Mr Haamaundu was speaking when he graced the fashion show to commemorate the 77th Anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China in Lusaka last night.

Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Han Jing disclosed that China is committed to deepening practical cooperation with Zambia in agriculture, energy, mining, infrastructure and digital technology.

And Mr Jing said China stands ready to implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and elevate the China-Zambia Comprehensive Strategic and Cooperative Partnership to greater heights.
