Red Arrows have edged Super League Champions Power Dynamos 1-0 at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka to lift the 2026 Charity Shield.

‎Arrows star Ackim Mumba scored ten minutes away from full time as the Airmen overcame Power.
‎
‎Mumba rose to the occasion, converting from a dead ball situation to give Arrows the Shield.
‎
‎“It feels good to win the Charity Shield but it all comes back to hard work and team work. We have been improving in training and that is why we have carried the day,” Mumba said.

‎He said the Airmen were better than Power.
‎
‎“We have beaten Power Dynamos the defending champions so we are the better team. We are the best team,” Mumba said.
‎
‎Having already made their mark on the continental stage, Arrows now return to domestic football with back-to-back victories, adding the Charity Shield to their growing list of achievements and maintaining momentum in what promises to be a demanding season.

‎Power assistant coach Linos Makwaza described the loss as painful.
‎
‎He bemoaned missed opportunities including a penalty.
‎
‎“It is a painful defeat. We prepared well for this game, we played all the football but missed a lot of chances including a penalty. That is the name of the game. We will just continue pushing. Football is for the brave, we accept this result,” Makwaza said.

‎“Going forward we have to work on our finishing, we are creating a lot of chances but our finishing is letting us down,” he added.
‎
‎Power are fresh from suffering an early exit from the CAF Champions League at the hands of Sudanese club Al Merreikh.
