NORTHERN ZAMBIA UNION CONFERENCE (SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH) Kitwe Polytech Hospital — Healthcare Employment Opportunities Position: Radiographer Reports to: Medical Director Location: Kitwe Polytech Hospital, Kitwe Job Purpose: Coordinate, supervise and manage radiology operations to provide basic and specialised medical imaging services and support safe, cost-effective patient care. Principal Duties: Coordinate medical imaging services for efficient, high-quality patient care. Manage staff, finances and material resources within radiology. Plan and deliver continuing professional development for radiographers and technologists. Supervise senior technical staff and coordinate departmental operations. Contribute to action plans, budgets and resource mobilisation. Maintain equipment service schedules, inventories and logbooks as part of quality assurance. Participate in operational research in diagnostic radiography to improve clinical practice. Promote teamwork, communication and regular departmental meetings. Responsibilities & Decision Making: Enforce radiation safety and health requirements for patients, staff and the public. Use imaging equipment and accessories responsibly and cost-effectively. Make timely decisions about staff and departmental problems affecting performance. Education, Experience and Skills: Full Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent. BSc in Diagnostic Radiography from an internationally recognised university and full registration with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ). At least five (5) years of relevant experience. Ability to write technical reports and communicate clear instructions in English. Integrity, initiative, confidentiality, computer literacy, negotiation, interpersonal skills and team leadership. Work Environment: Office and imaging rooms; moderate physical and substantial mental effort, with exposure to radiation and cross-infection risks.
