MANAGEMENT TRAINEE x6 About the Programme The Management Trainee Programme is designed for recent graduates who are eager to build a successful career in manufacturing. Trainees will receive structured mentorship, hands-on exposure, and practical training across various factory operations to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business. This programme prepares high-potential graduates for future specialist and management roles within the organisation. The core objective is to improve operational efficiency while maintaining a safe, organised working environment. Responsibilities – Track and manage inventory accuracy. – Inspect warehouse facilities and maintain clean, safe working conditions. – Supervise and manage warehouse staff. – Monitor performance metrics to ensure high-quality delivery and cost-efficient workflow processes. – Warehouse resource management: Plan, allocate and manage warehouse space, manpower, equipment and tools for receiving, storage and dispatch operations. – Inventory management: Monitor daily and monthly stock levels, supervise repackaging of damaged or non-conforming goods, and ensure accurate stock records. – Personnel management: Manage staff attendance, overtime scheduling, salary review, and training for permanent and temporary workers. – Forklift management: Conduct daily fuel audits and monitoring for all forklift units. – 6S management: Oversee and maintain 6S compliance across all warehouse zones. – Daily briefing: Organise daily morning meetings to communicate company standards, updates and operational requirements. – Exception handling: Timely report warehouse abnormalities and operational issues. – Complete other ad-hoc assignments from management. MACHINE TOOL WORKER x1 Location: Lusaka, Zambia Company: Twyford Zambia About the Role Twyford Zambia is seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Tool Worker to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining lathe machines, ensuring precision machining, and supporting the efficient operation of the machine tool processing plant while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Eligibility Requirements Applicants must have: Full Grade 12 School Certificate. A Degree in Mechanical Engineering. A minimum of 2 years experience as a Lathe Operator or in a similar machine tool operation role. Proven experience operating and maintaining current model lathe machines. Good understanding of machine tool processing and machining operations. Key Responsibilities Operate lathe machines to manufacture and repair mechanical components according to specifications. Set up, adjust, and monitor machine tools to ensure precision and quality production. Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on lathe machines and related equipment. Be responsible for the maintenance and management of materials used within the machine tool processing plant. Inspect finished components to ensure compliance with quality standards and technical drawings. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company safety procedures. Report machine faults and coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize production downtime. Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures. Required Competencies and Skills Strong knowledge of lathe machine operation and maintenance. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
